June Farm Star Matt Baumgartner like us When it comes to loving everything about reality TV, imagine his surprise when he got the chance to be in front of the camera himself.
“It feels like I have a master’s degree in reality TV watching. I’m a huge fan of reality TV Vanderpump Rules and below deck There are also a lot of Bravo shows that are not necessarily competition shows. I like people who are focused on (blending) work and relationship realities,” Baumgartner says exclusively US Weekly after premiere His Prime Video show earlier this month.
While filming the project, Baumgartner Just want to celebrate his hudson valley farm
“I wasn’t quite sure what level of drama the show was going to have. There could have been a lot more drama, to be honest,” he noted. “But overall, our goal was to put on a great wedding show with a little bit of drama. And they certainly delivered on that.”
June Farm is an unscripted series The theme revolves around the employees at Baumgartner Gentlemen’s Farm blending work and play. Baumgartner knew what to expect on the show, but he didn’t want to put too much pressure on the process.
“I really want to talk about it as honestly as possible. I never want to look back and say I didn’t take it seriously. As a huge fan of reality TV, my favorite people are the ones who are the most raw and real,” he said. “They just put their whole lives on display, which I find very admirable and brave, and I hope people think of me that way when they watch it.”
Baumgartner’s authenticity shines through in the show—especially as he grows more comfortable with the camera.

“I remember the first week being like, ‘This is so fun.’ And then it was like, ‘Oh, wow. This is starting to feel a little intrusive.’ And then the third week, the sleep deprivation started to set in,” he recalled. “My adrenaline was at 10 the whole time, so I had a hard time falling asleep.” “
Baumgartner continued: “The pressure I felt to do a good job for Prime Video and the production team, or even just for myself so they didn’t look crazy, almost got to my detriment in the end. I couldn’t really relax. But the next few weeks were kind of difficult. The pressure started to show.”
Baumgartner I soon found myself Unintentionally parodying an iconic reality TV scene, he shared, “I’m so happy with the final product. Even though I’m a social smoker, I hate that my nieces and nephews have to see me smoke. But it’s true. We have a smoking area on the farm where we discuss things. … I remember deciding if I should put the cigarette out. But I was like, ‘This is what we do – for better or for worse.’ “That’s how we communicate there. I also saw Dorit Kemsley smoking in her truck[on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills]and I was like, ‘If she can do it, I can do it.’ “
Initially, the entrepreneur thought Lots of information about camerasbut then they took a back seat. “I realized after about two weeks that my brain had lost the ability to maintain the illusion, like, ‘This is going to be perfect. I’m going to make everyone love me. I’m going to make everyone think my farm is perfect,'” Baumgartner told us. “Eventually you lose motivation and you default back to normal behavior.”
He continued: “I remember saying to other people that before the show was filmed, I had all these outfits picked out and told how good I was going to look. By the fourth or fifth week, I was getting sloppy. I would grab anything from the closet and throw it away because they would just see me as I usually look. If they like me, they’re going to like me. I just ease into the process and I want it to look more authentic.”

hard work It finally paid off.
“I can see the benefits of putting on a show like this, which will hopefully mean an increase in our wedding bookings and an increase in people coming to visit the farm and stay in the cottage. I hope that’s the number one takeaway from the show,” he noted. “But I felt like, in order to get this opportunity, I had to be willing to show things from my personal life, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the wedding. It felt like it was worth it. After watching the episodes, I was really happy with how they looked and how the farm looked. There were some challenges with the wedding, but I think overall, people understood that we were just trying to run a business.”
