A former Missouri high school basketball coach faces federal prison time after he was found to have sent inappropriate sexual messages and nude photos to students via social media, prosecutors said.

Bogan is also accused of sending photos of his genitals to students.
According to prosecutors, Bogan believed he was using social media apps that “caused messages to disappear shortly after they were received.”
However, prosecutors said the students “screenshotted the explicit photos before they disappeared.”
According to charging documents reviewed by KSDK, a student told school administrators that they received inappropriate photos and messages from Bogan in March 2024.
Later, another student who made similar accusations against Bogan said they received sexually explicit messages from him via Instagram, the NBC affiliate reported, citing documents.
In a statement provided to the station by Mary College and St. Louis Country Day School in April 2024, the school said “Bogen is a contracted non-teaching assistant basketball coach.”
“He had worked seasonally at MICDS for approximately three seasons, but was not an employee when the alleged misconduct came to light,” the school’s statement added. “Nonetheless, the school responded to the situation immediately upon becoming aware of any alleged misconduct.”
