Google is testing email service providers


Manufacturing is one area where companies want to test AI assistants in the hope that they will save time for users, and as a result, they will want to use those assistants more. Google today launched a new email testing agent called CC through Google Labs testing.

CC, powered by Gemini, can connect to your accounts, such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar, and provide you with a daily summary via email. This “Your Day Ahead” email keeps users informed of their activities, summarizes their calendar, and provides important day-to-day updates from these accounts.

You can also reply or send an email to CC at any time with requests such as adding activities, training your interests, recalling articles, or searching for more information.

Currently, CC is available to AI Pro and Ultra users in the US and Canada who are 18 years of age or older. The company said the service is currently available to buyers of Google accounts and not Workspace accounts.

There are several examples of email and AI-powered email assistants. Sequoia – back Mindywhich now operates in the design and marketing space, started as an email service provider. Other conference writers such as Read AI and Fireflies also send users daily briefs, but they may not have news from email and Drive. Hux, an audio program developed by former Google NotebookLM developersit creates a daily summary like a podcast with data from your email, calendar, and interests.
