Google announced Wednesday that it is adding a music-making feature to its Gemini app. The company is using it DeepMind’s Lyria 3 music version to activate the feature, which is still in beta.
To use this feature, you specify the song you want to create, and the program will create the song along with the lyrics. For example, you can ask Gemini to create a “slow R&B song about a matching sock,” and the app will create a 30-second song along with artwork created by Nano Banana.
Google said you can also upload a photo or video, and the AI-powered tool will create music to match the format of the media file.
