“Make them likeable. I think if your kids are not likeable, they’re going to have a hard time in life, you know,” Rosedale said. “Life is hard enough without being an asshole, understanding, caring, considerate, and empathetic.”
The musician noted, “So all of those things that I try to do in life…is just try to lead by example and show my kids, consistent friends, consistent people around me, and a stable lifestyle.”

“I feel like young people are under pressure in terms of what to do. If you go to college, what exactly are you going to do in college and then how are you going to pay back your student loans and how are you going to get into the workplace?” he shared. “It seems to be very, very difficult for people. Very, very difficult. And I’m not sure it’s ever going to get easier.”
Rossdale and Stefani married in 2002 and announced their separation in 2015 after more than 12 years.
