Florida man tied up girlfriend’s 3-year-old daughter and beat her to death


A Florida man has been arrested after he tied up his girlfriend’s 3-year-old daughter with a gown tie and painter’s tape before beating her to death, police confirmed.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office confirmed in a statement Facebook That Jaylen Jarrell Combs Charged with aggravated child abuse in the death of 3-year-old Paisley Brown.

At noon on Thursday, February 19, deputies responded to a tow truck in Ocala, Florida after receiving a report of an unresponsive child. Paramedics were also reported to the home and they rushed the girl to hospital, where she later died.

Coombs called Paisley’s mother around 11 a.m. and said the girl was unresponsive, police said. A call to 911 for help was not made until approximately 40 minutes later, according to the release.

Another child at the home told police that Combs assaulted the child multiple times, including on Feb. 19. Police also said Combs was the only adult in the home at the time of the abuse.

When police arrived at the scene, they noticed bruises and ligature marks on Paisley’s wrists and feet. The injuries indicated she had been tied up, according to authorities.

Coombs initially said in a police interview that Paisley woke up “groggy” on the day of his death.

“However, when Combs was confronted with the bruises and ligature marks on the victim’s body, he admitted to causing the injuries that resulted in her death,” deputies wrote in the statement. “He stated that the night before he had tied her hands with robe ties and taped her legs to prevent her from putting her hands in her diaper.”

Combs claimed that while Paisley was still bound, he picked her up and threw her to the floor, causing her to gasp. He also said he punched and kicked the girl but admitted he “went too far”.

Additionally, Combs told authorities he never called 911 because he was “scared.”

Coombs may face additional charges, which will be determined after an autopsy is completed.

Paisley’s aunt, Tabitha Harlesswho owns the trailer where the crime occurred, she told western health association She rushed to the scene after the incident.

Halless said Combs “just stood there with his arms folded, not doing anything.” She continued, “Nobody seemed really panicked. I was doing CPR, but at the same time, I was looking at her — why was she wet? Where did these bruises come from?”

The aunt later revealed that one of Paisley’s brothers told her what happened.

Combs is being held without bail at the Marion County Jail, according to online records reviewed. US Weekly. It was unclear whether he had entered a plea or retained legal representation.
