As Monday’s events unfolded, news of Jubar’s exclusion from the position spread throughout the office, but Jubar insisted he was content with his current “job” and continued to focus on the case at hand. (The team investigates a bombing in Brooklyn and eventually leads to a convicted felon calling the shots from behind bars.)
It wasn’t until Jubal’s team managed to survive a prison riot and get home safely that he spoke to Isabelle about her promotion.
He noted that he did want to be SAC, but was more frustrated that Isobel becoming ADAC meant they wouldn’t be able to work side by side.
“I don’t know what we would do without you,” Jubal confessed to Isabelle.
Isabelle’s answer surprised Jubal, who revealed: “You don’t have to do this. I decided to turn down the ADAC position.”
She explained, “You’re exactly where you need to be, and so am I. … What I need is this place. This team. To solve the case. To solve the problem with you.”
