FBIof Missy Peregrine Maggie later returned to the show Asked for leave After a major death occurs.
Maggie returns on Monday, March 30’s episode, where she talks to Isabelle (Alana De La Garza), said: “Honestly, it’s a lot. But I took the time and really allowed myself to feel it all. I know grief is a process. It comes and goes, but I’ve been taking care of myself.”
She continued, “I just had my last meeting with my counselor and he said yes. I’m ready to come back. I got his advice.”
Meanwhile, Isabelle points out that she has to be “ok” with Maggie returning to the scene.
“Maggie, losing your sister, that was incredibly traumatic. After losing your husband, you said the exact same thing verbatim,” she said, to which Maggie responded, “I wish I could say I haven’t been here before. I have been… The person who killed my sister is dead. I’m doing everything I can to get justice for Erin.”
Maggie’s partner OA (Zeko Zaki), very excited Bring her back to the scene. He contacts Maggie later in the episode after Isabel asks him to “keep an eye out” for her.

Bennett Raglin/CBS“It’s not a conspiracy, Maggie. I’m going to go (to see how you are doing) no matter what,” he said, before Maggie explained that it would be “hard” to come back, but that she “will be fine.”
Earlier this month, Maggie was arrested for the first time – serial killer Ray DiStefanoMatthew Rauch)—kidnapped her sister Erin (Adrienne Rose Bentson). Maggie spends the episode trying to save her siblings, only to find her dead in the back of DiStefano’s truck.
Peregrine, 43, later denied plans to leave the show following Maggie’s personal defeat.
“I’ll be honest. I’m on a procedural show and I wonder what impact that might have? It scares me sometimes because I think we’re highlighting some of the horrors of being human every week,” Peregrine told Deadline. “What is this? What are we doing this for? What am I dedicating so much of my life to doing this for?”
Peregrine was relieved to see how the show would continue to explore relevant topics.
“I think what we’re doing is really important because we emphasize how to move forward. Everyone experiences loss. Everyone goes through emotional depths in life,” she explained. “You have the opportunity to show connection, relationship, intimacy and growth. That’s why I do what I do. I hope it makes people feel seen and makes them want to keep going after such a horrific experience and not give up.”

“So far. I was like, ‘What are we going to do after this?’ You know, I’ve been playing the same character for eight years and we’re getting so far,” she noted. “What’s the plan? How are we going to go through the next steps and get back on our feet and engage with the world again? We’re not a show where you sit on the couch in your underwear and talk. We have to get back to work.”
She concluded, “So at what point are we addressing the reality of this scene, and we’re doing that in the best way possible on our show, just like we do procedurally. But you know, as much as it scares me, I’m terrified of finally getting into that space. I find it really fun to play my character now and find the beats of when I can plug these things in and when they work. It’s just a challenge. It feels like we’re on a new show again, you know what I mean? Maybe that’s a gift.”
