Faced with new energy onslaught, Europe asks if reviving nuclear power is the answer


In 1990, about one-third of Europe’s electricity came from nuclear energy. That share has now fallen to 15% on average, she said, leaving the continent “completely dependent on expensive and unstable imports” of fossil fuels and putting Europe at a disadvantage compared with the rest of the world.
