Erica Kirk Marking first Valentine’s Day Without her late husband, the right-wing conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.
“I would love to write one more love letter… I have a deep respect for them,” Erica, 37, wrote on Instagram on Saturday, February 14, along with a photo of a letter she received from her late husband before his death.
“You intentionally set aside the noise of the world and handed me some sacred words filled with a depth of love that neither of us can fully express,” she continued in the caption. “I read even slower now. As I read your words, my heart heavy with reminders of the reality that we were never promised gray hair and rocking chairs, even though we thought it was guaranteed. But oh my god, do I love telling the kids about our covenant that left a mark on my soul. My favorite love story.”
Charlie was shot Lecture at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, September 2025. He was 31 years old that year.

She continued at the time, “They say time heals. But love doesn’t ask to be healed. Love asks to be remembered. I’m humbled by the realization that pain of this magnitude did not take away the love I had for my husband. It magnified it. It crystallized it.”
On Valentine’s Day 2026, Erica went on to urge her followers to “celebrate Shabbat this weekend with the ones you love.”
“If you’re married, take a moment to sit down and write them a love letter. A love letter that says you see them, that you love them, that you respect them, and that you want to continue to be better for them,” she added. “A letter like this may seem insignificant, but you never know where life will lead and if the Lord calls you home, even in your absence, your love will still serve them as they reflect on your words.”
She ended with a special message to her late husband: “I love you baby Charlie, you will always be my sweetheart.”
