“I’m looking forward to taking next year off and seeing what happens and what I have time to do, I think it’s always good to shake things up and do something different,” she added. “Whether that’s a (romantic comedy or) horror movie.”
Osment continued: “Jesse Perez[in the show]was destined to put me in a Marvel movie. I didn’t know if I was going to be a superhero, but he went out of his way to get me into some kind of superhero movie, and I thought that was so cute.”
In addition to her screen work, Osment has prioritized her work for philanthropic causes—starting with her joining the board american rivers.
“It was a huge surprise for me this year and I’m so grateful they gave me an opportunity. I’d never been on a board before and my interest in them came very naturally. I really enjoy the outdoors and I’ve met some incredible people on some of the river trips I’ve been on. Last year, I went on an eight-day off-grid trip along the Colorado River with about 17 people I’d never met before,” she recalled. “I met some incredible people from American Rivers, and on the third day I spoke with CEO Tom Kiernan.”

“I didn’t study water law when I went to college, but I was very interested in ways to protect life on America’s rivers. It’s a lot of fun and they’re doing some incredible work and I’m really proud of it.”
Osment may be booked and busy as an actor But important reasons to be excited All the while, she made time to do it.
“I’ve campaigned on Capitol Hill with the Creative Alliance and I’ve worked with Angel Food Project. There are a lot of really great companies out there that I love that are doing great work. Everyone I meet at American Rivers feels like a friend, and it’s the first time I’ve been on a board where everyone is from a different place and everyone has the same mindset,” she shared. “It injects a lot of energy into the proactive work I do, and it’s so easy to help protect the health of our rivers. We just need to spread the word more.”
