Elon Musk’s last co-founder has reportedly left xAI

Earlier this month, it appears that all but two of Elon Musk’s 11 co-founders at his AI startup xAI had he left the company. Now, according to Business Insider, the two remaining founders, Manuel Kroiss and Ross Nordeen, have also left.

Musk recently said that xAI “wasn’t built well (at first),” so now it’s “being rebuilt from the ground up.” The company recently taken by Musk’s SpaceXbringing together SpaceX, xAI, and X (already Twitter) together under one corporate umbrella, all as SpaceX says they are planning to go public.

Kroiss and Nordeen both reported directly to Musk, according to BI, with Kroiss leading the company’s training team, while Nordeen was Musk’s “right-hand man.” Nordeen is said to have come to xAI from Tesla, and was involved in planning a major layoff at Twitter after Musk acquired the company in 2022.
