Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Veciawife, Kayla Veciais sharing an update after grieving the loss of her child.
“Honestly, you know, I don’t have much to say,” Kayla, 29, said in a statement. Tik Tok Video shared on Friday, January 2nd. “Alex and I are working hard to get through it every day. Every day is so different for us, I really can’t put it into words.”
Kayla and Alex, 29, announced in November 2025 that their “beautiful daughter went to heaven.”
“There are no words to describe the pain we have been through, but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we spent with her,” the couple said. Social media statement title then. “Thank you to the Dodgers for their understanding and support during this time. Our baseball family has helped us and we couldn’t do this without them.”
He was absent throughout as Alex and Kayla grieved their loss. Dodgers World Series Champions last fall. (The Dodgers kept Visia in mind throughout the tournament, eventually defeating the Toronto Blue Jays to take home the trophy.)
“I share a lot of Alex and my life here and felt it was only right to come over and say thank you,” Kayla said in her TikTok upload. “I really appreciate the outpouring of support and love that your community has shown us. It really brings us a lot of comfort.”
Wiping away tears, Kayla further admitted that she’s not sure how future social media content will reflect her new normal.
“(I don’t know) what the future of this content will look like, but I do want to share my journey,” Kayla said. “I didn’t know how much I wanted to share, I didn’t know the details, but I knew I wanted to share if it could help someone going through the same thing feel like they’re not alone.”

She continued, “I don’t want to cry online. I don’t think it’s fun for anyone. I think it would be a great outlet to talk and share, unlike other people.” I talk to Alex (or us) talk to our therapist. It’s just a different outlet. Now, I don’t have much to say except that I really appreciate you all and showing us so much support and love during this time. “
According to Kayla, she wanted to post a short video to “check in” and “say thank you” for all the messages of support.
“I don’t know what[my social content]is going to look like going forward, but I do want to come in and check it out — and most importantly say thank you,” Kayla said, further advising her followers to “be prepared for anything” during pregnancy.
“I was prepared for whatever was going to happen. I wasn’t prepared to go home without my baby,” she said through tears. “I don’t know what the (new) year will bring. I’m going to slowly get back here. Love you guys, that’s all for now.”
