Meyer and the Patriots struggled against the Seahawks, scoring their only two touchdowns in the fourth quarter while their opponent dominated the field all night.

“Like every year, someone’s going to lose this game and we have to remember what it felt like and make sure it doesn’t happen again,” Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel explain at the post-match press conference on Sunday. “We couldn’t get any rhythm, field position… We’ve been really good against the run lately and we didn’t.”

Vrabel, 50, added, “I appreciate the way these guys attack and compete. But the execution just isn’t consistent enough.”

Meyer also told reporters that the Seahawks “played better” than the Patriots on Sunday, noting that they “deserved to win” the game.

“What a great journey it’s been for us as a team and for me. I love this team. Love those guys in the locker room. I’m going to leave it all on the court, which I know a lot of guys did tonight and just didn’t play their best and that’s what happened,” Meyer added, noting that he would love to “go back to where we started and redo” the game.
