Dancing with the Stars star Lindsay Arnold reveals gender of third child

Arnold, 31, announced on Sunday, December 14, that she and her husband, Sam Cusickrecently found out the gender of their third child. (Arnold and Cusick, 31, already have daughters Sage, 5, and Joan, 2.)

“We are beyond grateful and blessed to be able to bring our first boy into this world,” Arnold wrote in a tweet. Instagram Revealed video. “Our girls can’t wait to ask every day how long it will be before their little brother arrives.”

Lindsay Arnold and her husband Sam Cusick have been sharing adorable photos of their little family since becoming parents in 2020. “We shared our results privately together, but I wanted you all to hear/see Sam’s excited ‘YES!!!!!!’ when I read ‘Boys’ to him,” the mirrorball champ wrote in her caption. “He’s the best dad to girls and I just know he’s going to be the most amazing dad to boys. Our son is so lucky.”

After learning the gender, Arnold and Cusick organized a special reveal for their daughter. Joan wanted a sister, and Sage wanted a brother.

“Because we don’t have a boy,” the 5-year-old told her mother of her logic.

Arnold asked Sage and Joan to pop a black balloon together, revealing a row of blue confetti inside.

“You’re going to have a little brother,” Cusick told his children, who immediately threw streamers into the air in celebration.

“Baby #3 is on the way Cusick,” she captioned a maternity photo on Instagram. “We are beyond blessed, grateful and excited. We love you so much baby and we can’t wait to meet you!!”

Days later, Arnold detailed the “hiccups in the road” during her pregnancy.

“Things are great, but it’s fun,” she said In TikTok videos Shared on November 25th. “During both my Sage and June pregnancies, I had what’s called a subchorionic hematoma, which is essentially a blood clot in the uterus. It releases in the first weeks (and) months of pregnancy, causing you to bleed a lot. It’s scary because you’re only bleeding early in the pregnancy.”

According to Arnold, her previous experience with hematomas was “pretty harmless.”

“This has happened to me twice, on two separate occasions, where I lost a lot of blood over a period of time,” the dancer explained. “Because it’s happened to me so many times, I feel very confident and comfortable with it, but you still think, ‘I thought everything was fine, but you never know.'”

Arnold further said the concern about another blood clot was the “only issue” during her pregnancy.

“It’s something I’m used to because it’s happened before,” Arnold added. “Both times everything was fine (and) basically I just had to drain the clot and then everything was fine.”

Fear aside, Arnold’s first three months were relatively easy.

“I wasn’t feeling 100 percent, but I wasn’t in pain either. I think the biggest symptom was that I felt tired in the afternoon,” she recalled in a social media video. “I’m really trying to stay strong and keep up with my morning workouts and get in that session. For me, mentally, it’s the best thing ever.”
