Charlie Kirk mentor Jeff Weber dies in pickleball accident

“Jeff played a key role in shaping the sport of cheerleading today and building a community that has impacted generations of athletes, coaches and teams,” the statement read. “His contributions in recent years have helped grow the sport in the United States and globally, including his work with the International Cheerleading Federation, which received full recognition from the International Olympic Committee in 2021.”

“Our condolences go out to Jeff’s family and loved ones, as well as to the many in the spiritual community who were impacted by his work,” the statement continued.

Turning Point USA, a conservative political organization founded by the late US president Charlie Kirkalso paid tribute to Weber after his death.

“A visionary who helped shape generations of young leaders and believed in the power of community and country,” The organization stated Weber. “He was a great friend to Turning Point America and Charlie. He will be greatly missed.”

In October 2025, Weber stood with Kirk’s family at the White House when the late political commentator Kirk was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Kirk was shot and killed in September 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was 31 years old.
