Peacock version Bobs Featured murder cases, missing persons cases and an unexpected kidnapping Preparing for Season 2.
The dark comedy, adapted from The New York Times , premieres Sunday, February 8th. 1989 movie of the same name. After fictional couples and new parents – Samira (Keke Palmer) and Rob (Jack Whitehall) moves into his childhood neighborhood and old secrets about his missing friend Allison resurface (Erica Dasher).
Samira, Rob and his friend Naveen (Kapil Talwarkar) realizes that Allison has not been kidnapped, but is in hiding because she believes she is a target. They help Alison find the person responsible for the deaths in town, which allows her to move out.
But the first season didn’t end there, because Naven Found out he’d been kidnapped before the ending is complete.
“Personally, I don’t want him to get out of the trunk,” Whitehall, 37, quipped in an interview. US Weekly. “We had him throughout the series, but his character would eventually be phased out.”
He continued: “When we saw episode eight, we were like, ‘Oh, this is so embarrassing. Now it might actually happen.'” We couldn’t handle it without him, so we had to bring him back. We have to find our friend, we have to get him out of the back of the car. “
Talwarkar, meanwhile, isn’t too worried about the fate of his character.

Peacock/NBC“I’m not ready for Navin’s funeral yet,” he joked. “I actually had no idea – I was shocked when I read this.”
For Palmer, 32, the most shocking part of the season so far is “Allison’s reveal,” telling us, “We’re trying to find this girl, and she’s been right in front of us the whole time. It’s been there. So I love that. But obviously, it leads us to another big underworld that we have to figure out.”
Looking forward to the second season, Julia DuffyAs Lynn, she is hopeful about meeting new characters.
“We haven’t met my kids yet, but there was a line where I mentioned them,” she noted. “We really want to see these kids.”
Duffy, 74, noted that Jack’s Parents have not been introduced yet. She also expressed interest in the original film’s cast – starting with Tom Hanks.
“I hadn’t seen ‘The ‘Burbs.’ I hadn’t seen the movie when I read the script, but then I saw the movie and to me they were very, very different. But the whole concept lends itself well to a TV show because the things you can do are endless,” she told us. “People of all these ages are living in a dead end.”
Talvaca hints at “tiny nods” here and there, adding, “If you’re a big fan of ‘Burbs,’ you’ll find it. But what’s also great is, if you like these types of movies and movies in general, you get a whole new story from this movie. You can appreciate all the little details and Easter eggs that are in it, but you get a whole new experience.”
