“I know Bridgerton fans are very passionate about these characters, and so am I,” Baduzza told Refinery29 Australia in February 2026, noting how “proud” she was to tell a queer story on screen.
Baduzza noted that “everyone’s story deserves to be told,” adding, “I love Mikayla so much, and I’m so proud to be telling this story with Hannah. In Bridgerton , so many of the characters are growing into themselves and learning new things about themselves.”
She continued: “I think the show embraces that and I think it’s important that other people embrace that as well and hopefully that’s reflected in society.”
