Danny (Wahlberg) and Lena (Sonequa Martin-Green) is assigned a case involving a young child who witnessed his father’s murder. Danny was visibly shaken and continued to be driven based on his personal connection to the incident.
He solves the case by the end of the episode, which makes Danny want to call his son Sean (Mika Amundsen) – and father Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck)—and even more when the job is done. Boston Blue talks about Danny trying to repair his previously strained relationship with his son.
CBS features Danny’s trip to New York blue bloodThe show runs from 2010 to 2024. The spin-off series, which premiered in October, begins with Danny visiting Boston after Sean falls into a coma. This version of Sean looks a little different compared to previous characters player Andrew Terrasciano.
“There’s definitely some negativity,” Amundsen said exclusively US Weekly last month about taking over the role. “But when I look at the negative posts, there are a lot of fans cheering for Sean and people saying they really love the character I created – or my version of the character.”

“I felt pressure to respect the actors in front of me because I wanted to respect Andrew as much as I could. Even I made certain visual choices in terms of my hair style and certain lifestyle choices like Sean’s that I wanted to preserve,” he continued. “I really wanted to stay as close to Sean as I could, out of respect for the character that everyone loves, and out of respect for the character that Andrew has created.”
He continued: “When I booked the show, it all happened very quickly. In about a week, I got into it very quickly. I binge-watched as much as I could and I found it more helpful to watch the later seasons. I wanted to understand who Sean was by the end of the show. I really wanted to understand his character as an adult and his relationship with Danny.”
Meanwhile, Terrasciano broke his silence us About reorganization.
“Someone called me — actually the day I graduated — and they talked to my mom, and she called me (crying). They said, ‘They might be looking for a different Sean,'” Terrasciano shared us December regarding screen changes. “Donny called me shortly after we got the news. It was such a wonderful moment to hear from an old friend and someone you respect so much and learn so much from.”

“It’s beautiful because you’ll always remember every line and every day that you get the chance to be that character,” he shared. “That doesn’t mean other people can’t do beautiful things with it.”
Terrasciano continued: “I had a lot of fun playing Sean and getting to send him into the world. Now other people get that joy too. We all get to show what we do and then send Sean into the world.”
