BBC’s Will Grant on the mood after riots in Mexico

Mexico has deployed thousands of troops to bolster security amid a wave of violence in parts of the country since the death of a powerful drug lord.

Defense Secretary Ricardo Trevilla said 2,500 additional troops had been sent to western Mexico, bringing the total deployed since Sunday to 9,500.

On Sunday, arch-rival Oseguera Cervantes, better known as “El Mencho,” died in custody after being captured by Mexican special forces in the state of Jalisco.

The BBC’s Will Grant talks about the mood and atmosphere following the riots in Guadalajara, the capital of the Mexican state of Jalisco.
