BBC reports near the Strait of Hormuz

BBC senior international correspondent Orla Guerin traveled to the edge of Oman’s Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has controlled since the war began.

20% of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas are typically used in this critical artery.

By stranding ships in shipping lanes, Iran is reducing global oil supplies, driving up prices, sowing fear among consumers and increasing international pressure.
