Madison “Maddie” Prewett Found a secret way to communicate with friends and family while serving Bachelor.
“I’m in a crazy environment where a bunch of girls are vying for a guy’s attention, and it’s not a sacred environment,” Prewett, 29, claimed on Monday, March 16, on Keeping It Real . podcast. “No one tries to seek holiness. That in itself is a crazy concept, so I’m just trying to figure out this life – but I can’t reach anyone.”

Even before Prewett left the show, she started doubt her connection Weber met with her after meeting her family during Hometown Week.
“It got to the point where it was like torture. You, kind of feel like you’re in this prison, like, ‘What am I doing?'” Prewett recalled to her college friend. Erica Hardesty in Monday’s episode. “I didn’t feel at peace when I left the show, so it was just a struggle of, ‘Lord, do I stay? Do I leave? I wish I could talk to someone.'”
After Weber visited Prewett’s family in Alabama, she was quarantined in a hotel room until the cast’s next rose ceremony.
“I was in California all week, and it was just me and a (producer) they assigned to you and kind of looked after you,” she recalled. “At some point it really hit me in the head.”
According to Prewett, Her feelings are very conflicting For her part, Weber knew her father didn’t give the airline pilot his “blessing” to propose.
“I thought, ‘Well, I can’t say yes to the engagement,'” Prewett said, noting that she later questioned whether to stay on the show or leave on her own. “I was like, ‘I have to reach out to my people.'”
Bachelor Contestants famously didn’t have access to their phones during production, so Prewett came up with a secret way to access her email account.
“I didn’t even know how to do it, (but) I somehow pulled off a scam and got the hotel key,” she said, claiming the producer also kept the room key. “I got the hotel key, snuck out of the room, and I think I[told my producers]like, ‘I want to go work out.'”
Instead of going to the gym, Prewett went to the hotel’s business space to use a computer.
“I went to the office, found the computer. I logged into my email and immediately emailed (Erica) and my mom,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Guys, I don’t know what to do. Please pray, I don’t know if I should stay. I don’t know if I should break up with him. What do I do?’ (It was) a 911-style, please God, tell me what should I do? (Message).”

Prewett sent the email and returned to his hotel room to wait for a response.
“The next day, I did the same thing. I went back to my computer and I got this email from you guys,” she said. “(We) had this back and forth for the whole week. It was crazy… I’m so grateful that I had this experience because that was my therapy, my outlet (it changed my head space). I feel like I have a lot more clarity.”
After Prewett left bachelor, she Move on with now husband Grant Trout. They welcomed their first child, daughter Hosanna, in 2025.
