Relatives of an Arizona father who has been missing for months say they believe he was murdered.

Cline said authorities found a large amount of blood at the scene, but Smith’s body has not been found.
“We are still desperately trying to bring him home. He just needs to come home and my heart will not be at peace until he is with us,” she said.
It’s unclear whether police were aware of the blood found at the park or if they had suspicions about what might have happened at the scene.
Phoenix Police Department Spokesperson Jennifer Zucker told the media on Friday, March 13 that Smith’s disappearance case is open and remains open. Additionally, Zucker said she could not confirm whether Smith was dead.
Klein also told the media that police do not suspect that family members are involved in Smith’s disappearance or possible death.
Before Smith disappeared, he was eagerly awaiting the birth of his first son in early September 2025. Family members said his disappearance was particularly puzzling because he was planning to begin alcohol rehab so he could be a father to a son and two daughters.
Klein went on to tell the outlet that she was saddened that Smith’s children would be growing up without their father. She noted that the experience would be similar to his own, as Smith also lost his father as a child.

Smith’s loved ones described him fondly, with one tribute writing that he was “fierce” and “loyal”. In a tribute seen by the outlet, he was also remembered for his “deep love for his family”.
Two memorial services were held in Smith’s memory after his family expressed their disbelief that Smith was killed. His friends and family gathered for the first memorial service at the Roadrunner Restaurant and Saloon on Saturday evening, March 14th, and the second memorial service was also held at the Bull Shooters on the evening of March 14th.
