Apple is planning to make Siri an AI chatbot, a report says

Apple’s long-awaited Siri update could turn the smart assistant into a chatbot similar to ChatGPT, according to a report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Sources say that the Siri chatbot, which will be included in iOS 27, could be a place where Apple will show WWDC in June.

The Siri chatbot, codenamed “Campos,” will work with words and phrases. Apple Vice President Craig Federighi was it has already been said that he didn’t want Siri to be a chatbot, instead, he wanted Apple’s AI options to be “integrated so that they can be accessed whenever you need them.” But it appears that the game plan has changed amid increasing pressure from the success of other chatbot companies.
