Anthropic raises another $30B in Series G, with a new valuation of $380B


Anthropic just completed a $30 billion Series G fundraising round, the company said was announced on Thursday. The company’s new valuation is $380 billion — a big jump from its previous Series F valuation $183 billion.

The details of the round were it was reported earlier this week by Bloomberg.

The new round was led by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund The cost of GIC is an investment management company coatand many other prominent companies – including DE Shaw Ventures, Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, and Abu Dhabi’s MGX – are leading the round. Other key investors mentioned include Accel, General Catalyst, Jane Street, and Qatar Investment Authority, among many others.

The influx of AI startup funding comes as it competes for customer and social interest with its competitor, OpenAI. OpenAI also recently announced that it wants to be vulnerable an additional $100 billionwhich, if he could get the money, he would balloon the value of the company up to $830 billion.

“Whether they are entrepreneurs, startups, or large global enterprises, the message from our customers is the same: Claude is becoming more complex in the way businesses operate,” said Krishna Rao, chief financial officer at Anthropic, in a press release. “This investment reflects what we’re seeing from these customers, and we’ll use this investment to continue building the products and brands they rely on.”
