Earlier this month it was reported Joseph, 31, arrested Alleged lewd and lascivious conduct involving indecent assault on a victim under 12 years of age and lewd and lascivious conduct on a person 18 years of age or older. Joseph was arrested after a 14-year-old girl accused him of molesting her while on vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020.
Joseph appeared virtually in court on March 20 but did not enter a plea. He also waived his right to an extradition hearing. He is currently awaiting extradition to Florida.
“I spent a lot of time reading, uh, read biblethey gave me a Bible here,” Joseph told his wife Kendra Duggar PEOPLE obtained a call from the detention center on Friday, March 27. “I was placed in solitary confinement (imprisonment).”
Joseph told his wife, with whom he has four children, that he spent “23 hours a day” in “an 8-by-10 area” at the detention center.
“It’s pretty small, but I’ve actually been reading a lot and getting some rest, but I couldn’t sleep well all night,” he said.

A few days after Joseph was arrested, US Weekly It was confirmed that 27-year-old Kendra was also arrested. She was released the same day on $1,470 bail. Both face charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
