Amazon is introducing one-hour and three-hour delivery options in several US cities as the e-commerce giant looks to compete with instant delivery companies such as Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats.
The e-commerce giant is making more than 90,000 products available through the new channel. If an item can be delivered to the user within one to three hours, they will see a next note next to the item on the Amazon app. There are also filters for these new options in the app and website.

Amazon Prime subscribers will pay $9.99 for one-hour delivery and $4.99 for three-hour delivery. If you don’t have a Prime subscription, you pay $19.99 for one-hour delivery and $14.99 for three-hour delivery.
Amazon said it is developing an hourly delivery system in many US cities, including major metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington, DC, as well as Des Moines, Boise, and American Fork. The three-hour route is available in over 2,000 US cities and towns.
The company is also launching a dedicated retail outlet to household items suitable for adopting these new methods.
“Our customers are busier than ever and are looking for new ways to save time and take care of their families. We saw an opportunity to use our unique service capabilities and solutions to make it easier for customers while unlocking great benefits for Prime members,” Udit Madan, vice president of Worldwide Operations at Amazon, said in a statement.
The company said it is using its same-day fulfillment pages for new delivery options.

This isn’t the first time Amazon has tried its hand at instant shipping. The company was already established One-hour delivery under the “Prime Now” service in 2014but it was canceled in 2021. Then in December 2025, it tried. a 30-minute delivery route to Seattle and Philadelphia.
The company has been trying to get into the fast-paced business world. In India, the company in 2024 launched Amazon Now, a 10 minute delivery on food and other itemsand last year he expanded it to several cities. Amazon launched the service in the United Arab Emirates last October, good delivery within 15 minutes.
