After 16 years in power, can Viktor Orban finally be ousted?

Magyar, a slight man with a neat shirt and jacket, seemed too smooth and suave to win over rural voters, but he has proven himself a formidable challenger. Orban, 62, is a country boy who speaks rural Hungarian; Magyar is a lawyer by training in Budapest. Aware that his status as a member of the metropolitan elite might reduce his appeal to rural voters, Magyar has spent the past two years traveling tirelessly across the countryside, attracting huge crowds. Unlike Orban, who waxes lyrical about global politics, Magyar focused his speeches on domestic issues such as health care, education, transportation and rural depopulation.
