quick summary
Big frame (daily line): The upward trend is still sustainable and the structure has not been broken
Elliott: Wave 5 may be complete and we may enter an ABC correction next week to end a cycle
Liquidity: Christmas week + approaching New Year → poor liquidity, prone to strong and “annoying” fluctuations
Plan: Don’t chase the price, Lana is waiting for the price to reach important buying areas: 4250 and 4205
Market background for next week
Trading is likely to slow next week due to the holidays. Poor liquidity makes prices more likely to fluctuate, and liquidity can be wiped out more easily than usual.
In addition, geopolitical factors and military tensions remain “fuel” to support gold, and the dollar tends to weaken when the market is risk-sensitive.
Therefore, this week Lana prefers to trade based on clear price areas rather than trying to guess tops and bottoms.
Technology Outlook D1
Looking at the daily chart, gold remains on good bullish footing. However, according to Elliott, the market is showing signs of entering the final stages of a push wave (Wave 5).
After wave 5, it is somewhat “normal” for ABC corrections to occur to balance supply and demand before picking the next trend.
For Lana, a correction (if it occurs) is not a bad thing – it creates the opportunity to buy in the discount area and is safer than buying at the highs chasing prices higher.
Important price areas followed by Lana
1) Preferred purchasing area: 4250
This is a price area that has previously broken through strong resistance and still “holds” a lot of liquidity. If the price rebounds to 4250 next week and there is a significant reaction, Lana would prefer to look for buying points on smaller frames.
2) Long-term buying area: 4205 (POC based on trading volume)
This is a cumulative POC area that has previously seen significant transaction volume. If, according to ABC, the correction is larger, then the 4205 area will be a long-term buying area that Lana pays special attention to.
Trading plan for next week (overview)
Early in the week, Lana will monitor the smaller frames to find the right entry point without rushing.
Prioritize waiting for a rebound to 4250; if the callback is deeper, wait for it to reach 4205.
During periods of weak liquidity, Lana prefers to:
Easy entry
Clear SL mode
Take profits when price reacts well
Lana’s Notes 🌿
Holidays are often a “not so pretty order,” but sudden liquidity depletion can easily occur. Lana doesn’t try to trade every move, she just picks price areas that she really understands and waits for the right level.
