Pickle Robot adds Tesla ex as first CFO

Pickle Robot, which makes autonomous unloading robots for warehouses and distribution centers, announced a new chief financial officer just days ago report Big win with UPS.

The Charlestown, Massachusetts-based company made the announcement hired Jeff Evanson as its CFO on Thursday. Evanson has been consulting for the company since September and recently joined full-time.

Evanson previously served as the vice president of global financial relations and strategy at Tesla from 2011 to 2017. In this position, he worked directly with Elon Musk and helped the company raise loans and financing to support the launch of several Tesla vehicle lines and corporate acquisitions.

Evanson will be Pickle’s first CFO and joins as the company — which was founded in 2018 with $100 million in funding raised — reportedly expands its partnership with shipping giant UPS. According to Bloomberg, UPS is investing $120 million to buy 400 Pickle robots, with deliveries starting in late 2026 and early 2027.

Pickle declined to comment on the UPS news this week. A Pickle spokesperson confirmed that UPS has been a Pickle customer for several years but would not confirm when the partnership began.
