Rob Reiner’s son Nick acted ‘creepy’ at party before parents were murdered

Sources revealed exclusively US Weekly Rob, Michelle and Nick (32) attended Conan O’BrienChristmas Party on Saturday 13th December. According to insiders, Nick allegedly acted “creepy” during the celebrations before leaving.

“Nick was at Conan O’Brien’s party asking people if they were famous,” a source added.

TMZ Reports say Rob and Nick got into a “very loud argument” at the party, which was overheard by other attendees. Rob and Michelle then left the event – for just one day before they were found dead “Apparently stabbed” at their Los Angeles home. Before their deaths aged 78 and 68 respectively, Rob and Michelle opened up about how Nick’s battle with addiction caused a rift in their family. Nick began struggling with drug abuse as a teenager and entered rehab for the first time at age 15. After several relapses and treatments, Nick began living on the streets.

“I was homeless in Maine, I was homeless in New Jersey, I was homeless in Texas,” Nick told People in 2016. “I spent my nights on the streets. I spent weeks on the streets. It wasn’t fun. If I wanted to have my way and not be in the program they suggested, then I had to be homeless.”

Nick credits the experience to Help him stay clean.

“It made me who I am, having to deal with these things,” he added at the time. “I met crazy awesome people there, so it just wasn’t my style. Now that I’ve been home for a long time, I’m used to being back in L.A. and being with my family.”

Nick continued: “I could have been dead while I was there. It was all luck. There were a lot of dark years there.”

“If your kid is going through a tough time,[as]a parent, your main job is to keep your kid safe. So I’ll do whatever it takes,” Rob said in a Build Series interview at the time. “At the end of the day, I know my kids better than the experts do, and I should probably trust my gut, and that’s one of the things I learned from the whole experience.”

Rob also revealed that he apologized to Nick for how they handled his issues.

“When Nick tells us it doesn’t work for him, we don’t listen,” Robb told the Los Angeles Times in 2016. “We’re desperate because people are hanging diplomas on the wall and we’re listening to our sons when we should be listening to them.”
