The market has changed’ and the founders have the power now, vcs says

The interactive approach to investment assumes that investment can be a black box. But marketers need to think about how they go about marketing to their money, just like how they think about how their companies go about finding their market.

Isabelle Johansen spoke to Graham & Alerker’s Leslie Fenahaig and Rosi Robini about raising their first investment and how it helped their investors.

Feniig began to be integrated with very few industries. “There were hundreds of matches. They were raised almost from the public. We ended up with LPS 105,” he said. “If you don’t have a reputation, then what they’re buying is in you. Like, like, like a warrior angel under the guidance.”

It is their outside perspective that they were able to have when the founders made the calls before they met with their board to execute and discuss the strategy.

Similarly, fubini encourages the leadership teams he works with carefully to start learning with them. His rubric follows three interrelated spaces: human, solid.

“You work with this person forever. So it all depends, are they happy? Do you trust them? Do they have the guts to take on someone,” he said.

All VCS have seen a change from the most recent market 20222-23 – when vcs carried all the cards – to a place that is encouraged now where the founders have more power. This makes choosing the right vcs very important, it says.

Fubini called it “interesting” because, although all these aspects still need to make efforts quickly, compared to the conservative markets. “I think it’s fun and exciting,” he said.

Both Feniig and Fibini have plenty of advice on VCS and vc’s wanting to find ways to attract more intelligent tables.
