Sherlock Holmes House Star Frank Cozzolinoof cause of death has been revealed.
Cozzolino died on December 4 at the age of 56, according to his daughter.
“My father was loved by many. He was a man of passion, empathy, brutal honesty and integrity,” Cozzolino’s daughter Philomena wrote via the website Instagram Saturday, December 6th. “He battled organ disease and was given a second chance at life through the gift of organ donation in 2017.”

“(It was) a third chance at life, if you will,” Philomena recalled. “There were many complications after the surgery and he fought through each new battle until he was diagnosed with lymphoma. As a fighter, he never gave up.”
She continued, “He made a thoughtful decision to stay the course. He had overcome the odds and he thought, ‘The world is not going to get rid of me that easily.'” Even though my father lost his battle late at night on December 4, 2025, he pushed the boundaries of what many of his medical team, friends, and family thought was possible. “
Filomena further revealed that Cozzolino had a “hard battle” with his cancer diagnosis.
“You are the strongest person I know and I am grateful for the years we spent together on this earth,” she wrote directly to her father. “Now that your fight is over, you can rest. We will see you again.”

“Loved ones will remember their fondest memories with him, whether they were eating together, rocking out at concerts, their happiest laughs, or their darkest moments when they pulled each other away from his ideas about electronics, music or travel,” she wrote. “As we grapple with grief, he wants us to hold on to every memory. He was a man of many words (oh, what a man of words) and believed in the power of positivity. His passing is heartbreaking, but it is reason for us to keep going, spreading kindness and generosity.”
Cozzolino also didn’t want his loved ones to gather at the funeral.
“For all those who wanted to pay their respects, he did not want a funeral. Instead, he wanted people to focus on the good times they shared with him,” Filomena added. “His life and that of his loved ones were improved by organ donation. We can take a moment to honor him by donating to transplant research, cancer research or signing up for organ donation. That way, we can continue to give others a second or third chance at life.”
Cozzolino appears next to Mike Holmes on HGTV Sherlock Holmes on Home, They help renovate poor quality homes.
