wired Since early November, Oz, 65, has included a section titled “Crushing Cubicle Cravings” in his weekly email newsletter to agency employees, Monday, Dec. 8 reported. The division employs approximately 6,000 people.
“This time of year, we all love fun cookie exchanges and potluck dinners,” the former daytime talk show host reportedly wrote in a recent newsletter. “This month, several teams at CMS are hosting holiday parties, and I’m sharing some strategies to help you make healthier choices while still indulging in holiday treats.”
“Set your intentions. Decide ahead of time how many treats you’ll allow yourself to enjoy, and try to stick to that number. You don’t have to try every cookie on the cookie table,” he continued in his weekly “From the Administrator’s Desk” email. wired.
Oz also advised agency officials to “practice portion control” and “be careful” when snacking and “not double-fist,” the report said.

He further encouraged employees to “eat from small plates and smaller portions whenever possible so you can enjoy them without overeating” and to “savour every bite, put your fork down between bites, and pay attention to your body’s cues.” wiredIt added that employees should try to keep one hand free “to shake hands with colleagues and friends during the holidays.”
“Between now and the holidays, I’ll be sharing my tips for healthy snacking,” Oz reportedly explained in an earlier newsletter. He reportedly told employees, “Healthy snacking starts with meal prep for Sunday. Have grab-and-go containers of nutritious snacks ready to go… Eating healthy snacks — like ones high in protein and fiber — throughout the workday will preserve (your) energy and help curb overeating, especially when there’s leftover Halloween candy every time.”
Trump, 79, appointed Oz to run the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in November 2024, shortly after he was elected to a second term as president.
