katy perry is saying goodbye to her latest “trip of a lifetime” and taking stock of everything she’s gained during her transitional period in life, which included her split from her ex-fiancé orlando bloom and a new romance with the former Prime Minister of Canada justin trudeau.
“(I’m) so grateful, it’s awesome. 90 shows, I think our whole lives have changed,” the 41-year-old singer said in a video shared via Instagram Sunday, December 7, became emotional at times and spoke in a low voice. “I’ll never be the same again. You know, I learned a lot from touring.”
“I got love, I got connection, I got community, I got family, I got tea, and I got to grow with you,” Perry continued.
The video comes a day after Perry made a difficult public announcement about her relationship with Trudeau on Instagram. Perry shared a selfie of herself and Trudeau, 53, posing with a smile on their face as part of a carousel of images posted to the platform.

Perry and Trudeau were first rumored to be having an affair this summer, a month after Perry and her ex-fiancée Orlando Bloom called off their engagement in June 2025.
“Katie and Orlando have split, but on friendly terms,” a source close to the pair revealed exclusively US Weekly then. “It’s not controversial at the moment. Katie is of course devastated but thankfully doesn’t have to go through another divorce because it was the worst time of her life.”
The breakup was “a long time coming,” the source added, adding that Perry rented a house in Montecito while on tour.
“But she and Orlando have been living in another home in Montecito as their primary residence,” the source explained. “(They) planned to make the Westcott home their home, but plans have changed” and “have been living apart since Katie’s tour.”
