California’s Automotive Regulatory Commission has released an update that will allow companies to test and later ship self-driving cars.
The California Department of Motor Vehicles, the agency that oversees clean cars in the field, opened a 15-day period Improvements which ends on December 18.
California is home to many companies that are starting and testing automotive technology in the State. And while Robotaxis has become ubiquitous in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles counties, the sacred vehicles don’t stop more than 10,000 office drivers from testing on 10 public roads.
The organization, which has been considered banned for several years now, was released to change in 2024. The last revision was released on Wednesday.
The updated guidelines cover a few areas of non-speeding tickers that appear to be driving traffic tickets for boat operators at Bobotix.
Self-directed advertising is the most popular. The revision reflects feedback received during the initial spring evaluation, the agency said.
The request was met with interest by companies that are developing clean car technology, many of which are based in California, but they are testing on other roads like other states like Texas. Companies like arora fruit and kodiak Ai eventually want to use it Driving yourself to carry the goods on the side of a heavy road.

Union workers, who fought for the driving battles, were not affected.
“Our thinking is still there, we’re always being tested by the technology bias in our processes,” Gus Gusman, California’s head of group law, told Techcrnch. “The changes that are made do not change our responsibilities.”
Gusman noted that civil society groups will also fight for the changes they want. It also connects Passage of AB 33Bill is currently in the government
DMV regulations have also been revised to allow self-driving cars to pass mandatory, high-performance applications for self-driving cars like Robotaxis. Companies can get a license to test with a personal safety operator behind the wheel. The DMV article distinguishes between non-driving and delivery test permits.
Manufacturers are required to conduct a minimum number of miles of testing before applying for a test driving license and DMV permit. For example, self-regulating companies are required to complete a minimum of 500,000 miles – which must be done in an organization that intends to operate in California – before receiving a license.
Another DMV is also proposing to revise the rules that would affect moving vehicles. For example, the law expands the frequency and type of data specified on the department during the trial period and asks companies to change the exercise plan regularly.
