Cole and Chelsea DeBoer ‘don’t get tired of each other’ while working on HGTV

HGTV stars rape and Chelsea DeBoer (née Houska) has mastered the art of combining work and play.

“We actually don’t get tired of each other,” Chelsea, 34, said US Weekly exclusively at the 2025 CMA Awards on Wednesday, November 19, in Nashville. “We had a lot of fun. We always had little lunch dates, so we were lucky enough to get together quite often.”

Kerr, 37, agreed, adding that balancing the partnership is their “most asked question.”

“This is my best friend, why not work together and do everything?” Cole told us.

“One thing I learned is, have a team and give them things to do instead of trying to do everything yourself,” Kerr told us What he gets out of the show.

Chelsea said she has learned the art of “accepting help” and gaining confidence.

“We were new to the game when we entered the HGTV world, and we were new to the overall makeover,” she told us us. “Gaining that confidence over the last three years, I thought, OK, now we’re here, we deserve to be here.”

She continued: “I’m a fan of HGTV, so when we met people I’d seen on TV, I was like, ‘This is so cool.'”

“It’s a bit Western, but I like the mix of modern Western styles,” Chelsea told us their business. “We have cowhide everywhere, so we love it. We just launched it online and it’s been fantastic.”

The pair put on their best Western chic looks at the CMAs, with Chelsea calling her maroon dress “a little Ella Langley moment. “

“I wanted a cool vibe,” she told us. “I’m into feathers and stuff right now.”

Cole, on the other hand, kept things simple and stylish in a black suit.

“I have a few outfits (of clothes), but she has to decide what to wear first, and then I pick based on hers,” he told us.
