Announcing Egypt’s final World Cup squad…one player late

Ibrahim Hassan, who is the head of the national team, said that the experts decided to remove Aktay Abdullah from the first list, when he took the final list of 26 players to compete.

The list of goals included: Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mustafa Schubert, Mahdi Suleiman, and Mohamed Alaa.

In defense: Mohamed Hani, Tariq Alaa, Hamdi Fathi, Rami Rabia, Yasser Ibrahim, Hossam Abdel Majeed, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Ahmed Fattouh, and Karim Hafez.

Middle: Marwan Attia, Muhannad Lashin, Nabil Imad “Dunga”, Mahmoud Saber, Ahmed Sayed “Zizou”, Imam Ashour, Mustafa Zico, Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet”, Ibrahim Adel, and Haitham Hassan.

On the attacking line: Mohamed Salah, A forgotten lifeand Hamza Abdel Karim.

Ibrahim Hassan explained that the team’s delegation will go to the United States on Saturday to finish preparing for the World Cup, where the “Afaraos” will play their final match against Brazil on June 6 in Ohio.

The Egyptian national team is participating in the seventh group competition along with the national teams of Belgium, Iran and New Zealand.

The 2026 World Cup will see the participation of 48 teams for the first time in the history of the tournament, which is hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
