A Texas middle school art teacher has been arrested after being accused of “child grooming” and allegedly admitting to having a crush on a teenage boy.
haley christa ladabo The Irving Police Department confirmed that on May 15, multiple students at Barbara Bush Middle School were arrested after they came forward with allegations involving the teacher and a student. US Weekly.
Students told a school resource officer that Ladabo, 28, was “known to engage in inappropriate sexual conversations with at least three middle school students and to provide drugs to students,” according to the arrest warrant. nbc5.
Radab allegedly began sending sexually suggestive messages to a student on Instagram, including “I had a huge crush on a kid before you” and “I’ll tell you what. You send me a picture of you and I’ll send you a picture of me.”
Investigators went on to say that Radabaugh sent “a photo of what appeared to be herself fresh out of a shower.” The photo is said to have been taken “from mid-bust up” and appears to show her entire face. Although the photos did not show any nudity, investigators confirmed that Radab was naked at the time of the shooting.
Radabaugh also allegedly used a “flirtatious kiss emoji” and “called the victim ‘baby'” in the message, according to charging documents.
The warrant also states, “The victim described feeling sick and losing sleep after the defendant sent him messages.”
After his arrest, Radab was charged with child grooming. It was unclear whether she entered a plea or hired an attorney after her arrest.
Radabaugh was released on $250,000 bail.
Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District confirmed police are investigating allegations against a “former” employee.
“While we are limited in the information we can disclose, we are deeply pained and dismayed by these incidents,” a school district spokesperson added in a statement, NBC 5 reported.

Gonzalez, who was not directly involved in the case, also said “friendships” on social media are always considered inappropriate regardless of the topic discussed between minors and teachers.
She added that child beauticians often use “electronic grooming dynamics” to begin isolating victims.
“We see so many cases that actually lead to sexual abuse starting with electronic communications that many youth-serving organizations, such as schools or educational institutions, have specific policies in place to prevent and prohibit contact with children outside of school activities,” Gonzalez said. “There are a lot of platforms developed specifically for communication that are appropriate, safe, everything is visible, and there are no siled communications.”
