Only broken world records will not be recognized

Greek swimmer Christian Gekolomeev has broken a world record at the controversial Plyometric Games in Las Vegas.

The 32-year-old clocked 20.81 seconds in the men’s 50m freestyle, but official authorities will not recognize his time.

The results were deemed illegal by global sports bodies because athletes can take banned performance-enhancing drugs.
