Euphoria The entire season has brought a lot of confusion to viewers – now they want to know what exactly happened between McGrady and Alamo.
Before the Season 3 finale, Maddie (Alexa Demi) had to ask the Alamo (Adewale Akinnuye-Agbaje) in Cassie (Sidney Sweeney) found Nate (Jacob Elord) has only 72 hours left to live. Alamo complimented Maddie as she put on her bathing suit and got into the hot tub.
Alamo finally agrees to help Maddie get the $1 million he needs to save Nate, and the scene is cut off. Viewers, meanwhile, wondered if the scene hinted that Maddie had to sleep with Alamo to secure the deal, but that wasn’t clarified.
In this episode, the Alamo Gotta tell Maddie He will receive 20% of her future earnings. The discovery is made worse when they discover Nate’s body and Maddie realizes her deal was pointless.
“It’s a cool way to do it. Nate makes a lot of mistakes and makes a lot of dark choices,” Elordi explained in a segment that aired after Sunday, May 24’s episode. “It’s so cool to see it all come to what it is now.”
Elordi recalled having to film inside a coffin, adding, “My shoulders were hitting the sides of the coffin and they couldn’t move my arms. Then they would drill holes in the lid of the coffin, and then it would be dark. It was really nice, actually. It was quiet in there.”

Euphoria fans have watched the cast change on and off the screen since the series debuted. Based on the Israeli TV series of the same name, Euphoria follows troubled high school student Rue (Zendaya) as she struggles to stay sober after rehabbing drugs. “It’s a bittersweet thing,” he said. “This show has been a big part of not only my career, but my life. It’s awesome and I’m so proud to be a part of it.”
Elordi has played Nate since the show premiered in 2019. Ahead of the show’s return, Elordi teased how viewers will see Nate again in the third and likely final season.
“I just recently finished filming the new season, and it’s a completely different thing,” he shared during a December 2025 episode of Variety’s cast interview show. “I do think (he’ll be better).”
Elordi continued: “I don’t know if it worked. What I did was probably not good.”
