Kash Patel’s clothing website was shut down after reports of it being hacked


FBI director Kash Patel’s business website was taken offline on Friday after it was reported that it had been hacked by hackers trying to infect visitors with malware, as first reported by Straight Arrow News.

As of this writing, the Based Apparel website is offline. On Thursday, user X who goes by Debbie has been sent that the brand’s website apparently contained malware, specifically an infostealer, a type of malware designed to infect victims and steal their information and passwords. A security researcher then analyzed the malware.

Brand Apparel could not be reached for comment. TechCrunch sent an email to the Gmail address associated with Patel, but did not receive a response.
