Flick “didn’t like” raising the Palestinian flag from Yamal… this is what he said

The photos were taken in a crowd of celebrants walking through the streets of the city Barcelona Aboard an open-top bus, among a huge crowd of around 750,000 fans who came to celebrate the Catalan club’s crown.

Yamal, 18, was seen holding a Palestinian flag in front of fans. He later posted pictures of himself holding the flag on his Instagram account, which caused a lot of interaction between supporters who saw the move as practical and personal, and others who saw that it could open the door to political conflicts within football.

German coach Hansi Flick commented on the incident at a press conference, saying: “I usually don’t like things like this, but I spoke to him.” If he wants to do this, it is his decision, since he is 18 years old.

Flick added that his main focus remains on football and making Barcelona’s fans happy after a successful season that saw the achievement of titles.
