the late James Ranthornewife, Jamie McPheeshared a candid message about single parenthood following the death of her husband as she celebrated her son’s birthday.
“Little King Jack turns seven today,” she said Add captions to Instagram posts Tuesday, May 5th. “I can’t believe it. The most handsome, stubborn, funniest, most affectionate, strongest boy and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Love you to the moon and back!”
McPhee shared multiple photos, many of which included Ransone. She also gave an inside look at what it was like to lose Jack’s first tooth, before sending a sweet message to her support system.
“To all our friends and family, it truly takes a village. We love everyone so much,” McPhee added. “Thank you for all the support, love, kindness, food, tears and laughter you have given me over the past 5 months. I finally understand that every day is a gift, so on this day we celebrate Jack together. Thank you, thank you.”
Ransonine starred in ” electric wire and It: Chapter 2, Died by suicide at the age of 46 December 2025. He and McPhee married in September 2017. Along with Jack, they have a daughter named Violet, 4.
“I told you I’ve loved you 1,000 times and I know I’ll love you again,” McPhee wrote. Posted on Instagram days after his death. “You told me – that I needed to be more like you and you needed to be more like me – and you were right. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift – you, Jack, and Violet. We are together forever.”

Lansone’s friends and family have been supporting McPhee since her death through a GoFundMe page, which has raised more than $250,000 since his death.
“The fund was established to support Jamie and the children as they navigate life after an unimaginable loss,” the website’s description reads. “Its purpose is simple: to give Jamie the space to focus entirely on Jack and Violet, caring for them, protecting their sense of security, and ensuring they have a bright future – even without James’ light in their daily lives.”
The GoFundMe description states that McPhee and their children were “the center of his world,” referring to Ransone.
“They loved him infinitely and he loved them equally fiercely,” it added. “Their relationship was deep, joyful and obvious to anyone who witnessed it.”
