Jesse James Decker She is a proud mother after her son takes a big step in the Catholic faith.
“Our hearts are so full as Forrest received his first Communion,” Decker, 38, via Instagram Sunday, May 3. “So proud of him ✝️🙏🏽What a beautiful and special day🫶🏻✝️.”
In her latest social media post, the Kittenish founder posed with her husband, Eric Deckerand their four children: Vivian, 12, Eric Jr., 10, Forrest, 8, and Denver, 6.
Other photos show Forrest in church preparing to receive the body of Christ for the first time. (For Catholics, the body of Christ primarily refers to the Eucharist, which Catholics believe is actually the body and blood of Jesus Christ.)
“Forrest received his first Holy Communion today,” Jessie wrote on her Instagram Story as her son posed outside the church. “Proud of him.”
Just a year ago, the country singer documented little Eric’s communion service at church. She at that time call it A “special and important milestone.”
Jesse isn’t the only famous Catholic to have his family celebrate First Communion.

For Catholics, First Communion is a special ceremony for children receiving the Eucharist for the first time. This is also a time for children to affirm and celebrate their faith with friends and family. The sacrament is usually celebrated around the age of seven or eight.
