Vanessa Bryant is marking the birthday of her late daughter Gianna with a poignant post.

“Happy birthday to my sweet little angel Gianna. Words can’t express how much I love and miss you mom,” Vanessa, 43, said in the caption of the post, which also showed a throwback photo of her kissing her daughter. “Mom loves you so much! #HappyBirthday #20💕💕”

Vanessa and Kobe first met in 1999 when Vanessa was a backup dancer in Eastsidaz’s “G’d Up” music video. They tied the knot in 2001 and later welcomed their daughter.
After the deaths of Kobe and Gianna, Vanessa sued Los Angeles County for invasion of privacy and negligence after Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department employees took and distributed photos of the helicopter crash. In August 2022, she was awarded $16 million in damages. The following year, she settled for nearly $29 million, all of which was donated to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
