More Gemini features are coming to Google TV

Google Photos is also being added to Google TV. Results are displayed in browser mode, making it easy to view all images or start a slideshow. There is also a new “Remix” feature that allows users to apply artistic styles such as watercolor or oil paint to their photos.

Meanwhile, “Dynamic Slideshows” brings video layouts, frames, and color treatments. Users can turn any Google Photos collection into a stunning, TV-ready slideshow by selecting Google Photos from the display options.

Beyond AI tools, Google is also banking on the popularity of short videos. Soon, a new row of “Your Short Videos” will appear on the Google TV home screen, starting with content from YouTube Shorts.

The move comes after YouTube recently introduced a way to hide Shorts on the mobile phone, which means that many users want it. However, Google indicates that this feature may extend to Shortcuts in the future, possibly to other platforms. Instagram has already expanded its TV app to Google TV devices in the US earlier this year.
