rookie Just killed off a character in a shocking death scene before the season eight finale.
Monday, April 27, on ABC’s hit series “Monica”Brigitte Regan) is trying to get away from the FBI and the arms dealers she meets.
After talking to her ex Wesley, she tries to find a way to escape (Sean Ashmore)—but her trip to the airport took a turn when the driver passed the LAX exit.
Monica accepted her fate and simply asked the driver not to shoot her “in the face.” Instead, Monica was shot twice in the chest and her body was left on the side of the road for Tim (Eric Winter), Nolan (Nathan Fillion), Nila (Mayor Cox), Angela (Alyssa Diaz), gray (Richard Jones) and Garza (Felix Solis) Found before Wesley joins them.
“When (showrunner) Alexi (Holley) Call me – I mean, first of all, every time a showrunner calls you, you have to worry that it’s a death call. But to be honest, I’m not surprised. I’m glad she lasted this long,” Regan said. TV Insider. “If you play with fire, as she did, eventually you’re going to get burned. As I said to Alexi and everyone, I was like, she’s not nine years old. She’s 37.”
Reagan Point out Monica “Escaped multiple assassinations and jail time.”

“When her numbers finally came out, I wasn’t surprised. I thought, that’s fair. She’s been amazing on this show for four years. I’m just filled with gratitude,” she continued. “But to my surprise, I felt incredibly sad for her. It wasn’t that she died, but that she never really flipped, she actually succumbed to the dark side and couldn’t find her way back. I feel like this version of Monica could have been something else, but she could never get there. So to me, that’s the real heartbreak.”
actress Recall the promises made Epic deaths on screen, adding, “You hear about all these famous TV shows where everyone’s dying all the time, like The Sopranos and so on. Everybody’s reading the script and asking, ‘Am I going to die? Am I going to die? Am I going to die? Am I going to die?’ I always keep that in the back of my mind because I feel like it’s inevitable. Either at some point, she’s going to go to jail or she’s going to die.”
For Reagan, Very special to see Monica went out on her own terms.
“The most interesting thing about her is that she is herself. The line ‘faceless’ shows that she was always her vain, wonderful, greedy self. That’s who she is. She can be very smug,” she noted. “With Monica, you always have to walk that line. She has to be confident enough for you to believe that she can hold her own in this criminal world, but I always wanted her to be believable, but there’s also something enjoyable about who she is. She’s funny and she refuses to be anything but herself. So, yeah, we’re constantly calibrating.”
Regan admitted that ending her time on The Rookie was “very emotional,” saying, “It was heavy. I was depressed. I thought, Oh my gosh, this is such an incredible show to be a part of. But I do feel, creatively, it’s time for her to go. Because if we’re going to say she’s dealing with all these dangerous criminals from Elijah to Aiden to Cooper Johnson, if it doesn’t catch up with her, there’s going to be a certain point where it’s incredible.”
rookie It airs Mondays at 10pm ET on ABC.
