“My girlfriend is on the team, so we train together and play most of the same day,” Lyles said EXCLUSIVELY US Weekly July 2024 before his event at the Paris Olympics. “We have this mental space to share with each other and constantly nourish each other.”
Lyles is a sprinter on the U.S. team, while Bromfield is a runner on the Jamaican track and field team. They’ve been together since 2022, and Lyles has made sure their relationship takes precedence over any type of notoriety.
“I’m learning fast. I already have my own set rules: no photos when I’m eating, no photos when I’m with my girlfriend, no photos when I’m working out,” he told me us. “Other than that, it’s all pretty free game, you know, I don’t have any problem with that, but when I try to put my head down, I find myself wearing a COVID mask now. Sunglasses, a hat and a COVID mask can get the job done for a lot of (fans).”
Two months after the Paris Olympics, the couple announce engagement In October 2024, they tied the knot the following year.

Like many modern couples, Lyles and Bromfield connected through social media.
“I slipped into DM,” she admitted during her appearance on “DM.” “Fast lane lifestyle” podcast in June 2024, noting that they soon began “hanging out” for several months.
Sure enough, romantic feelings began to emerge.
“We both knew we liked each other, but she could never take a day off from MVP (track club) to come visit,” Lyles said in the episode. “I can’t come and visit because what will I get? How many hours? And then I have to jump back on a plane and go to training on Monday.”
Neither Lyles nor Bromfield want to miss practice, but they plan to eventually date in 2018. The vibe “just didn’t click” and the two decided to keep their relationship platonic.
Lyles and Bromfield met at the Tokyo Olympics, where she won a bronze medal in the 4×400m mixed relay. At the time, they were both dating other people.

After the Paris Olympics, Lyles defended Bromfield from online trolls. “I just want to say that I’m incredibly proud of my girlfriend and give her the flowers she deserves right now 💐. She’s been through so much in her life that I can’t imagine overcoming… but the most impressive thing I’ve seen lately is how she handles the sheer disrespect and hatred towards her from her own country,” he wrote on Instagram.
bromfield expressed her appreciation Writing in the comments section: “Thank you for supporting (me) even before we started dating, baby.”
After two years of dating, Lyles proposed. “To my future wife, I will love you forever 💍,” he captioned a video of the pair’s romantic engagement on Instagram.
Lyles and Bromfield were married on April 4, 2026, at Blackberry Ridge Conservatory of Music in Trenton, Georgia.
“I discovered that I’m better at planning than I thought,” Lyles told me Fashion. “I consider myself an art director in a way. We had tremendous interest from different companies and people who were all extremely skilled and provided services that we never expected. We were very lucky.”
