In the 2010s, the streaming era as we know it was just beginning. Television hasn’t peaked yet, but there are already a few shows destined for early cancellation.
It’s especially frustrating as an FX fan that even quality shows can’t get a second season.
Since these series deserve to be remembered, watch with us Sharing a roundup of four great shows from the 2010s that you already forgot about.
This is your chance to make a different choice. These shows may never become the hits they deserve, but they can still be rediscovered.
FX screwed up marketing terrier Giving it a terrible name doesn’t even have much to do with the series itself. There is a pit bull in the show, but this is not a series about canines. Instead, it’s one of the best beach noir episodes ever, telling the story of a pair of unlicensed private investigators: ex-cop Hank Dolworth (Donal Rogge) and his best friend/ex-con Britt Pollack (Michael Raymond-James).
As the two men scrape by in Ocean Beach, they stumble upon a conspiracy that makes perfect sense, especially if you’ve ever lived in San Diego. There are some week-to-week stories, but the overall arc of the season is jaw-dropping. Even Hank’s relationship with ex-wife Gretchen Dorworth (Kimberly Quinn), and Britt and his girlfriend Katie Nichols (Laura Allen), plays an important role in the results. There will never be a second season, but the show is unforgettable for everyone who watches it for the first time.

McCallany is a revelation as a lighting engineer, and he’s surrounded by strong performers, including Pablo Schreiber and his brothers, Johnny Leary and Stacey Kitchen as their father, Robert “Pops” Leary. the late Reg E. Casey Billy Brown is excellent in his role as boxing promoter Barry K. Word, and Billy Brown is the perfect foil for Letts’s world champion Richard “Death Row” Reynolds. Although there are only 13 episodes, the unfolding of the story creates a wonderful ending that may pave the way for the second season. But even as a standalone season, this show is incredible.

anyone who ever expected leftovers be the second coming lost Probably disappointed. series co-creator Damon Lindelof It was clear in advance that this adaptation Tom PerrottaThis novel is not about ecstasy or the mysterious fate of each missing person. This is a story about people who were left with horrific emotional wounds that may never heal.
Margaret Cooley and Kelly Coon The pair became bigger stars after playing Gil Garvey and Nora Durst respectively. But much of the show focuses on Jill’s father and Nora’s lover, Police Chief Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux). Kevin’s job is to keep his town together, even as his own sanity is called into question. The interesting thing about this show is that it ultimately tells the audience what’s going on – you just have to choose whether to believe it or not.

if correct If it had appeared on any channel or streamer other than the Sundance Channel, there might have been a greater chance of it breaking out. Instead, it’s destined to become a hit show on a cable channel that not everyone watches. The series follows Daniel Holden (Aden Young) and his family after the former was released from prison after nearly two decades in prison. his sister Amantha Holden;Abigail Spencer), worked to get Daniel released, but not everyone believed he was innocent of murdering his girlfriend. Especially people living in small towns.
Daniel tries to find a way forward, but relationships within his family are in turmoil, including his stepbrother Ted “Teddy” Talbot Jr.Clay Crawford), who entered the Holden family when his father married Daniel’s mother, Janet Talbot (J. Smith Cameron). It’s a very slow series, and may be too slow for some, but there’s something undeniably compelling about these characters and their lives.
